Mobile Friendly Email Needs Video!

Last Friday we read a report from eMarketer that confirmed what we’ve been telling clients for the past few years. Email needs video! We’ve known for quite a while that video improves open rates and click through rates in any email campaign. What’s made this even more relevant is the increased use of smart phones and the number of people watching videos from their mobile devices. According to the eMarketer article, one-third of the US population watch use video on mobile devices within the next 4 years.¬†eMarketer estimates that by 2016, more than 110 million Americans (one-third of the total US population) will watch video content on a mobile phone at least once per month. This year, just under 20% of the population, or 25.2% of US mobile phone users, are expected to watch mobile video monthly.

Our suggestion? Improve the open and click through rates of your email by making them mobile friendly and include at least one video in every email you send.
